Tengam Engineering is constantly developing new and unique
uses for injection molded bonded magnets. We have earned
our reputation as an industry leader by developing, designing
and engineering parts to perform magnetic as well as mechanical
functions. This reduces the number of pieces in an assembly
and lowers overall costs.
Our magnets offer design versatility, tight tolerances and reduced weight. Injection molded magnets are easier and more economical to produce and have environmental and physical advantages compared to other types of magnets.
From the first consulting stages of part development through production automation we can help develop your part to meet all of your specific needs. Our experience in incorporating two or three components into one molded assembly can be a tremendous cost savings. Let Tengam Engineering help develop your next magnet or magnetic assembly.
Using fabricated steel inserts is a cost effective way of
eliminating steps in the manufacturing process. Incorporating
inserts into your bonded magnet design also gives you a product
that has exceptional uniformity and functionality. Engineered
thermoplastics are also an excellent choice as an alternative
to steel inserts. This secondary plastic injection stage
offers the opportunity to add structural ribs, fine threads
and color-coding.
Innovation is the key to our business.
Well lit and environmentally controlled, our facility produces millions of magnets daily. It houses specialty injection molding machines, magnetic powder compounding equipment and magnetizers.
Plastic molded magnets go far beyond simple magnetic applications.
From concept through production, skilled engineers and technicians
carefully guide the product through its development. Selections
in shape and size, materials (combinations of magnetic fillers
and resins), prototyping, pole configurations, method of
magnetizing, use of inserts, gears, magnetic strength, tooling,
tolerances, and packaging are all functions performed by
our engineering staff.
Advanced engineering means a continual search for improved materials, processes and technology to preserve Tengam’s reputation as the leader in custom injection bonded magnets.
